Off to hike Bear's Hump. And yes even Grandma and Grandpa at 80 yrs old made it all the way to the top. Scared us a little but I think they were pretty proud they did it.
Top of Bear's Hump over looking the Waterton lakes. Jace and I got rained on on the way up so I am lookin at little hair plastered. LOL Baby was the younest to got up and Jace the youngest to hike up, an dhe did pretty good to with a little coaching.

Trevor an Ryker about to fall over the cliff. Take the picture fast and get off there please!!!

They have chipmunks up there that will come right up and eat out of your hands. Janz actuallyhad on sitting on top of his chest munching away. LEt me tell you I don't know how their cheeks hold that much.

Jace taking a break on the trail. Since it was called Bear's Hump he was scared we would see bear's on the trail. We found him a still that serve not only as a walking stick but as a gun to shoot the bear's and anything else that might attack. We were well protected.

Beautiful Waterton Lake (Love this place)
We hade a Smith Family reunion at Mountain View that is just a few minutes out of Waterton. We stayed in a big B&B that actually held us all. Trevor and got the Creme d' la Creme suite since all the kids were staying in the room with us, the Honey Moon Suite. Our kids are the youngest except a few great grand kids that are starting to come now. The older cousins had a cabin all to them selves. It was great fun to play with everyone.
Ashlyn and Brandon with Grandma Smith and little Sage (Cheryl's new dog)

This is Cameron Lake. We went to church in Waterton and then headed up to Cameron. Beautiful isn't it.

Family Reunion in Waterton

We just got back from the Bi-Anual Smith Family Reunion and had a blast!!! Here we are after church at Cameron Lake. It was a beautiful day.

Ashlyn was not happy when we finally had to return home. The highlight of course was playing with all the cousins with being in the tube with mom when she did a full backwards flip off the back after hitting some more giant waves provided by Aaron!! Thanks Aaron! LOL No pic of that thankgoodness! There was lots of food, fun cousins, bonfires, water, hiking and more.

We started out meeting everyone at Waterton Dam and the day was amazing. The water was great and not even that cold. We had a little shower and threatening clouds but they took pitty on us and stayed away so we could keep playing. Ashlyn, Brandon, Jace and I went out on Uncle Aarons boat and Ashlyn proved she definitely has no fear of water and would live in it like a fish if she could. The boys enjoyed the ride but preferred the boat to the water. Ashlyn wanted to go on the tube so it was Alissa (leif's new wife, Ashlyn and me). Considering Ashlyn is still only 6 (ok almost 7) I thought it would be a fairly calm ride. Uncle Aaron though apparently cannot have someone finish a ride and everyone still be intact. LOL Soon we were no longer traveling on straight courses but making many circles and although the water was calm the waves would suddenly get much bigger as we caught air quite a few time. Thinking Ashlyn might be a little scared of this I checked on her only to find she had no problem and talked non-stop to Alissa the entire ride only to pause for a second when we hit the big waves. LOL Allas though everyone thought we had beein on too long and the inensity picked up (more on my side though). I was almost bucked out a couple times and then I saw the bigg one and told Ashlyn to hang on just before my feet flew up in the air and I performed, I believe, a very graceful backflip landing feet first in the water. Trevor got his fill with Uncle Orvil on the boggie board doing 360's from what I heard. All in all we had a blast and want a boat!!! (5 year plan maybe)

Starting the Blog Diary

I figured I would get with the trend and set up a family blog page. I am not scrapbooking or writing in my diary so at least this with keep things up to date and keep my friends and family informed.

Trevor and I were married in Cardston, Alberta temple Nov. 25 2000. We will never have to guess how many years we have been married thanks to the year we were married. My hunky husband caught my eye and quickly swept me off me feet in just 5 short months and has continued to do so even until today ( just not in the kitchen LOL). We have 4 amazing kids that all bring some fun, spice and flavor to our wonderful recipe of a family. Ashlyn is almost 7, Brandon is 5, Jace is 3 and Ryker is almost 1. The are the cutest and most precious things in this world and we are so blessed, and grateful to have them. They make me laugh daily and make my heart grow bigger. Kids rock!!!

We moved to Great Falls, Montana exactly 3 years ago and are loving it here. It has Big Sky's, big mountains, big rivers and lakes and of course big hunting and fishing. We are gradually exploring it all and enjoying it. Trevor opened a Chiropractors office here and is loving that as well. Even though things did not work out as planned at first and we wondered why couldn't things just go as planned but of course God knew what we needed and that just meant a little more time and work and now everything is 10 times better than we planned. The saying turn your obstacles into stepping stones has definitely been true for us many times over.
